Following up from Part 1 of this blog, there are various reasons a third-party legal support provider can be the best option to help manage a labor shortage. When a high volume of labor needs arises and/or there are fluctuations occurring in the job market, understanding all of your options is critical.
An exceptional third-party legal support team can help manage a labor shortage for several reasons:
- A third-party legal support team will provide a competent, high-quality, experienced team of licensed attorneys and credentialed staff. This team can be integrated into everyday operations while still offering flexibility, eliminating the need for ongoing training. In other words, a good legal support team that knows your organization is available when you need them.
- Further, an exceptional third-party legal support team is already utilizing innovation and technology solutions to complete the work efficiently and quickly.
- A quality legal support and document review team will already possess built-in best practices and protocols for effective, targeted, and continuous quality control. And, as a result, the end product will satisfy quality and accuracy requirements.
For example, if the priority assignments are document reviews and productions, the legal support team can quickly and properly assess and identify what is being requested and begin reviewing the documents to identify what documents are responsive, what documents contain attorney-client privileged, work-product or confidential information, etc. The team already understands and knows how to apply criteria such as relevance, issue responsiveness, privilege, work-product, and confidentiality. The team already knows how to separate, segregate, code, mark, and process the documents for production. Technology and innovation are already in use and quality control in place. And the team already knows your organization’s background and specializations – such as internal organizational components or processes, or specific products/services offered. All of these make it faster, easier, and more cost-efficient to get a project running smoothly.
