Baer Reed, Inc. Certified as a NWBOC Woman-Owned Business
Connecting companies committed to supplier diversity with woman-owned LPO/BPO
San Francisco, June 11, 2019 — Baer Reed, Inc., a legal and business process outsourcing firm specializing in litigation, corporate, and real estate support services, received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC).
Certification by the National Women Business Owners Corporation is a lengthy process, including in-depth business, ownership, and financial reviews, as well as a site visit by an auditor. The certification process is developed to confirm that at least 51% of each class of voting stock is owned by a woman and 51% of the company is operated and controlled by a woman.
“I am honored that Baer Reed has received its certification as a WBE and thankful to the team at NWBOC for their extensive effort in conducting a thorough review,” said Catherine B. Tyler, Founder & CEO of Baer Reed, Inc. “As a female founder, I always champion women in business. I appreciate the opportunity to highlight the diversity within our organization’s leadership and connect with companies that value diverse suppliers.”
As an active industry participant and mentor to other entrepreneurs, Catherine can be found attending industry events for women-owned businesses such as the WBENC Conference, June 25-26, 2019 in Baltimore, MD.

About NWBOC
More than twenty years ago, NWBOC became the first organization to create a national certification program for women-owned businesses. Yet, the platform it developed is much more than a certification – it is a powerful network of resources for business development and access to new opportunities. NWBOC helps its certified members to scale, become more sustainable – and ultimately more procurement ready – to do business with government and private sectors.
NWBOC was created in response to research conducted by the Procurement Special Interest Group of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
