Privilege Review

Our Services

Privilege review is an important process through which attorneys review documents related to a discovery request in order to ascertain whether the documents contain information subject to attorney-client privilege and/or the work product doctrine. This review is a critical step to ensure these materials are not inadvertently distributed during the discovery process.

At Baer Reed, we recognize the paramount importance of privilege and how crucial it is in every document review project. Privilege review can be a stand-alone service, or it can be included as part of a broader document review project. We provide clients with reports summarizing our workflow so they can

continuously review the progress and productivity of their team. These reports are customized to the client’s specification and can include document or issue summaries, as well as any other information requested by the client about the documents or the review.

Once the privilege review is complete, Baer Reed’s attorneys can draft privilege logs based on their review of the documents. Because Baer Reed’s attorneys are already familiar with the contents of the documents and the specific privilege issues of the case, they are often the most efficient and cost-effective solution for preparing privilege logs.
